What is PRF?
PRF, or platelet-rich fibrin, is made from each patient’s own blood. Once the blood is drawn, it is spun in a centrifuge to separate the red blood cells, the white blood cells, and the PRF. The PRF is rich in the growth factors needed for skin regeneration.
Why PRF Injections?
PRF injections are an excellent choice for patients who would like an all-natural anti-aging treatment that can provide significant improvement in problem areas. The growth factors in PRF stimulate and support the production of collagen and elastin, both of which are important components of youthful, healthy-looking skin. Collagen and elastin provide support, structure, and elasticity to the skin. Clinical studies show that PRF injections cause a local increase in cell proliferation, collagen and fibrin, and a decrease in hyper-pigmentation of darkened skin. This means we can target specific areas of concern to get improvement in skin appearance exactly where the patient wants or needs it.

What Can I Expect During My Treatment?
Your treatment starts with a consultation with our nurse practitioner, Becky. During this time, you will discuss your concerns and goals. She can assess the areas where you’d like to see improvement and help determine if PRF treatments are right for you. If you choose to proceed, we will draw your blood and prepare your PRF. This process takes about 15 minutes. We will then inject the PRF in the chosen areas. Becky will review any post-treatment instructions. Over the next few weeks, the injected areas should see improvement in tone, texture, and pigmentation.
